GETTING THERE

The Perhentian Islands are situated off the east coast of the Malaysian Peninsular. It is made up of two main islands - Pulau Perhentian Kecil and Pulau Perhentian Besar. We are located on the bigger island, Perhentian Besar.

You can only get to the Perhentian Islands from the Kuala Besut Jetty by boat.

The best ways to get to Kuala Besut Jetty are :-

  • fly into Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Bahru, Kelantan and catch a one hour ride in a transfer van or a taxi to the Kuala Besut Jetty.

  • drive to Kuala Besut and park your car at one of the overnight carparks near the jetty; or

  • catch an express bus to  the Kuala Besut Jetty.

Once at the Kuala Besut Jetty you can get a 30-45min boat transfer to the Island. These boats run regularly during the non-monsoon season subject to the weather and sea conditions.
